Craziness part 1: hospital

Where have I been? Well sit back and let me tell you a story my child. A story of when I woke up yesterday morning at five AM with extreme pain in my lower right side.

It sucked. I vomited. Waited an hour, then asked my roommate to call the doctor. When the doctor actually arrived I wanted to go to the hospital (because it really, REALLY hurt) and she poked me and such, then called the ambulance. When they arrived they didn't speak any English (and the hotel doctor spoke broken English). She said 'it may be your appendix. Surgery yes?' and I was like 'whatever will take the pain away!'

So off I went. The whole time we tried to get my tour leader, but there was a mix up in rooms so the hotel staff didn't actually know where he was (or, wasn't telling us. He found out for hours later and freaked out trying to find me. He's actually a nice guy and has been teaching me lots of history).

So I was in the hospital alone, no one spoke English. And they stuck some needles in me and gave me an x-ray, ultrasound, blood test etc.

Then, suddenly my travel mate popped out of no where. I don't know how she found me and when I asked she got all serious and said she didn't want to talk about that. So she called the Canadian embassy for me and they talked to the doctor and translated that I may have a kidney infection. Thru wheeled me away and I had to say bye to my travel mate. But it was only the beginning..
