Misinformed

I think everything got a bit nuts with me being in the hospital (which makes sense, since it was kind of crazy) but I think I should clear something up before it snowballs. My tour leader, Mark, is actually a nice guy who did, genuinely, try to help me.

You see, when I was shipped off to the hospital he was supposed to go in the ambulance with me. The thing is, when my travel mates tried to get reception to call his room they kept saying 'there us no mark in that room, there is a Russian'. They asked for marks room which turned out to be a different persons room. So the only reason Margaret got to me first is because she saw me leave (her room was beside mine) and she literally followed me. Only a few hours later did Suzanne finally give reception hell and say 'just call the room number that we think he's in!!' did he finally get a call saying 'guess what? Nikis in the hospital' (in which he booked it out of the hotel and to the metro to find me).

Suzanne went with him, and she said after they got off the metro (which isn't close to the hospital) mark just flagged a car and said 'i'll give you 300 rubles ($10) if you take us to the hospital NOW'

So he really did try. And it just took him a while to find me because the hospital staff kept sending him the wrong way.

Through the whole trip he's taught me a lot of history. And though yah, that one time he was with the guys he was a tad snarky, overall he's been very good to me. And he was texting me the whole time in the hospital to check on me.

Apparently too when Suzanne and he were sent out of the hospital (for the second time) he started going after ambulances to see where they went (since I told him I could see ambulances outside my window). Suzanne said now, looking back it was hysterical because the staff had no idea what the heck he was doing running after ambulances xD

And when he said it would be best if I left, he was kind of right. I mean, I had to go through heck today just to get to my tour group when, if I could have left last night, I wouldn't have been scared and kind of alone in Moscow.

It all worked out, and we had a good laugh about it. I'm not bitter because this makes for a good story. But really, he is a nice guy. Really :)
