Craziness part 2: should I stay or should I go?

So I slept a while when a doctor came in the room and spoke English (yay!) he said I had kidney stones and that they wanted me to stay over night. Then my leader texted me and said he was looking for me but the hospital wasn't letting him in. So I went to the hospital guard and asked where reception was (but I didn't know the Russian word reception. So they thought I was looking for a patient, not a visitor. That took a while). Finally I gave up, went back to my room when the guard came to me and said 'leader! You!' and hey! There he was! He was finally able to get someone to find me (he said it was really complicated. I totally agree). We talked and he said if o was in a lot of pain I could stay, but if I could handle it, it would probably be best for me to go to St. Petes with the group (since I'd be with people I knew, they spoke English, then I could go to a hospital there). So we asked the doctor and he said he'd prefer if I stayed, but if I wished to leave that was fine I just had to sign a paper.

So I waited. And waited. I told mark to go and help the tour while I waited (and would meet him back at the hotel). I called dad, and the insurance people (because I was worried I didn't have enough money).

Hours passed, I went to the nurse desk to ask for my doctor. I asked in Russian, but I didn't understand the response. So I typed a note in Russian explaining I had to catch a train and needed his written consent to leave. Still no real response.

Finally after half an hour of 'list in translation' the guard found a doctor who spoke a little English. He said 'canadian embassy will come tomorrow. Then you leave' I said 'no no. I have a train ticket. I must leave now!' he said 'no no. Tomorrow.' I told him I couldn't afford to spend the night (and by then I was tired and confused so I started to cry) but he said not to worry and sent me to bed. I told my tour leader (who I imagined freaked out because a few hours ago I was ok to leave and now I couldn't leave Moscow) but the train was leaving in an hour so he literally couldn't get to me. So I spent the night.

At least the staff was nice...

...

But there was no toilet paper. That part kind of sucked
